South Fraser Announces U13 Coaches

For the 2000-born BCSPL Season Starting September 2012.

South Fraser Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Niko Marcina as head coach of the South Fraser U13 Girls team, and Bill Connor as head coach of the U13 Boys team.

Niko currently holds a BCSA Provincial B coaching license and will be taking his CSA National B license in April. Niko is part of the UBC Women's coaching staff as their strength and conditioning expert. His coaching experience also includes very successful periods as head coach of Super Y-League, Metro, and VMSL Premier programs. Niko also has a strong playing background having played with the U21 Canadian National team in addition to UBC men's team.

Mark McQueen, Technical Director of South Fraser FC said, "We are delighted to have brought a coach of Niko's caliber and experience to the club. He has a proven track record for developing young athletes and is very well respected throughout the soccer community at both youth and adult levels. His coaching experience combined with his expertise in the area of strength, conditioning and SAQ is a major asset to the development of young players and the reason he is so sought after from youth to University level programs".

Bill Connor currently holds a Provincial B License. Bill coached in the Premier League with South Fraser FC in the recent test season in addition to his experience with top level youth teams at Peace Arch Soccer Club and at the Metro Level. Bill is a former professional player having spent time with the Edmonton Drillers of the NASL and Winnipeg Fury of the CSL and also played at the university level with UBC.
